“Andy Cruz is fragile” – Keyshawn Davis
In an interview, Keshawn Davis predicted that four-time champion Andy Cruz would “lose” even before he got to where he is today. Even though he lost to 2020 Olympic gold medalist Cuban Cruz (4-0, 20 KOs), he says he will get beaten by someone along the way.

Cruz fights tonight against Omar Salcedo (20-1, 14 KOs) in a 10-round WBC lightweight title eliminator on the undercard of Diego Pacheco vs. Steven Nelson at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Chelsea Ballroom, Las Vegas.
In the interview with Keshawn (12-0, 8 KOs), it seemed clear He wants Cruz to lose; Maybe that will ease the pressure he’s now dealing with from fans and the media to fight him.
They want him to fight Cruz so he can try to avenge at least one of his four losses. However, Keyshawn has repeatedly refused to fight, saying he is beneath him because he has only had four fights since turning pro.
Cruz’s “fragility.”

Cruz knocked out Antonio Moran in the seventh round in his last fight on August 3, and he looked strong in that fight. What he showed in that fight was more than enough power to take down anyone in the division, including Keyshawn. He threw a lot of punches at Moran, which broke him, and he injured him in the seventh with a blow.
“Ten ounces and eight ounces is a big difference. He mentioned my name and called me his son. That’s funny to me. I know what’s going on with his team. This one needs help. He needs a better team. I just think he doesn’t have respectable strength.”
“Average Pro”
“You’re absolutely crazy if you think this would work against a fighter like me. I feel like he was an exceptional amateur, but he would be an average pro. Naher Albright surprised Kishon in their fight on October 14, 2023. It was a developmental fight, and Davis was injured. After the fight, he started talking nonsense about going to buy a house because his win was annulled due to him testing positive for a banned substance.
“All he can do is keep bringing up my name to keep it relevant,” Keshawn said of Cruz. “I watched Andy Cruz’s pro debut [against Juan Carlos Burgos on July 15, 2023]. After that, I never watched a full Andy Cruz fight except for his debut.
“Keep building your name off of mine. Keep having commenters mention my name. I hope you can reach me one day,” Davis said. Fake smile On his face. “I will knock him out. My mission is to become the world and unification champion.
“If he doesn’t want to fight me, we’ll try to get the bigger name. I know I’m going to knock out Andy Cruz. I used to say that to the amateurs when I was losing to this guy [four times]. “When I turn pro, I’m going to fire this guy.” I don’t have the perfect amateur style that he does. I don’t do that, but I’m a professional.
“It’s not that exciting”
“That’s how he fights. “That’s Andy Cruz,” Keshawn said when told that Cruz moved a lot in his amateur fights. “He’s naturally a counter puncher. He doesn’t come forward and throw punches at you.
“That’s why he’s not that exciting because he literally wants to sit back and let people punch him so he can do all that hard stuff and get back at you and punch you. And that actually works great with amateurs. Then he starts to progress with some bulls, but he’s not really a fighter.” advanced.
“He really wants to sit back and play with his jab and let someone miss and hit him. That’s really the way he fights. I don’t see that working for me for 12 rounds. I’m going to punch your a**.”
“Lomachenko has another fight in him. He’s on Top Rank’s side. Well, I’ll try to go Lomachenko’s way. If he doesn’t want to fight me. Well, I’ll try to go lighter skinned [Gervonta Davis] road.
Keyshawn still hasn’t defeated any notable fighters. He has been protected by Top Rank since his close call with Nahir Albright when he hurt him. Davis’ best wins were against these fighters:
