Arrests after 12 shots in the Ecuador fighting

Ecuador police say they arrested four people in relation to an attack by the militants in a wrestling circle of cocoon, which 12 people died.
Arms, identical police, and army oil were seized during the police raids in the northwestern Manbe province on Friday – a day after the attack in rural society in La Valencia.
The footage of the joint attack on social media showed men entering the ring and opening the fire, as the terrified spectators sank to cover.
Reports in the local media indicated that the attackers in fake military equipment were members of a criminal gang whose competitors were in the battle of the rooster.
A criminal investigation was launched by the regional authorities.
It is believed that up to 20 criminal gangs operating in the Latin American country, competing to control the main drug methods.
Ecuadorian President Daniel Nuboa said about 70 % of cocaine in the world are now flowing through Ecuador ports before shipping it to the United States and Europe.
The drug is smuggled to Ecuador from neighboring Colombia and Peru – the world’s largest cocaine producers.
January has witnessed 781 murders, making them the bloodiest month in recent years. Many of them were linked to illegal drug trade.
