Elon Musk’s X raises Premium+ prices by 37.5%
X is raising prices for its top-tier subscription service by 37.5%, marking the largest price increase since Elon Musk acquired the platform in 2022.
Premium+ costs $22 per month in the US, Up from $16as of December 21, according to A Company statement. The cost of an annual subscription has risen to $229 from $168.
X said it is “adjusting” pricing to support the experience it offers. Existing subscribers will be charged at current rates until January 20.
International markets are facing similar increases, with prices in the European Union rising to €21 from €16 per month. Canada will see Premium+ prices rise to $29 from $20.
Some markets are affected more than others. X Premium+, which among other features completely removes ads, will cost users in Nigeria 34,000 yen per month, up from 7,300 yen. Likewise, users in Türkiye will have to pay £770 for the top-tier X service, up from £300 currently.
The platform’s basic subscription remains unchanged at $3 per month.
