On the first day of the range in one minute

The first vote from Conclave – the secret process of choosing the new Pope – failed to reach a decision.

After the long waiting, the black smoke appeared from the Sistin Church chimney at approximately 9 pm local time – which means that the Cardinate 133 at home was unable to choose a new back.

The crowds were collected in tens of thousands in St. Peter’s Square for the first vote from Conclave – whose results took more than two hours of the advertisement.

The Cardinals will return tomorrow to the closed Sistin Church for more voting rounds.

Laura Josie from the BBC was in the Vatican city throughout the day, along with the waiting crowds.
