Putin announces a three -day Russian ceasefire in Ukraine from May 8
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the temporary ceasefire of the war in Ukraine.
The Kremlin said that the ceasefire will run from May 8 to May 11 – which coincides with the victory celebrations to celebrate the end of World War II.

“The Russian side again declares its willingness to peace talks without preconditions, and aims to eliminate the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis, and to interact with international partners.”
After its issuance, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sibha said: “If Russia really wants peace, it must stop fire immediately.”
