Scout Motors EVs will have satellite connectivity

Volkswagen’s Scout Motors will debut CES 2025 next week, with some goodies news For people who plan to use the company’s electric vehicles abroad: The Traveler SUV and the upcoming Terra pickup truck will have built-in satellite connectivity.

Scout Motors has not said where it is getting the satellite communications equipment, or who the service provider will be. All it says at the moment is that the vehicles will be “pre-wired from the factory” and that the hotspot “is intended to be of wide reach to help drivers and passengers stay connected in and around their vehicle.”
