Tata gets 60 % of the Apple Pegatron’s India Unit class

Tata Electronics acquired a 60 % septate in the Indian arm of Apple Assembly, PEGATRON, where the group expanded its ability to manufacture iPhone in the country.

Taiwan -based Pegatron runs an iPhone production plant near Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India. The deal comes less than a year after obtaining Tata Electronics Assembly Assembly Company Wistron Indian.

Pegatron and Tata did not reveal the financial conditions of the deal, but Tata said that the acquisition is appropriate for its strategy to develop the manufacturing fingerprint in the country.

“We look forward to a new era of artificial intelligence, digital manufacturing and technology, as we send these new facilities and expand our operations in India,” Randir Thakur, CEO of Tata Electronics, said in a statement.

Tata, who started assembly iPhone in India only last yearIt appears quickly as one of the most important Apple partners in Asia, where the technology giant expands its manufacturing base outside China.
