The former Meta engineer collects $ 14 million for lace intelligence, a startup to generate revenue
As an Amnesty International engineer in Meta, Boris Valkov helped build Pytorch, one of the largest automatic learning libraries in the world.

Valkov took years of software engineering experience in VMWARE and Meta, Valkov collaborates with Stan Stoyanov and aims to marry artificial intelligence with customer service to help companies generate additional revenues.
The couple spoke to more than 100 companies in various industries and pioneers and discovered that in home services vertically, many sales begin with a call to a call center. Home services include companies such as HVAC, plumbing, and ceilings, among other things.
The hypothesis behind the lace is that if a customer calls one of these companies, it can either turn it into a sale – or not. The company claims that its program can help improve the chances of calls.
Specifically, the LACE Intelligence Intelligence Program uses artificial intelligence to analyze all calls coming to these companies to discover the chances of lost revenue. It claims to be more comprehensive than other similar offers as it monitors 100 % of calls instead of part of it. It analyzes every reaction “to ensure that no possible leadership or opportunity is missed,” according to Valkov.
Mountain View, which is based on Mountain View, works with more than 100 companies, such as A1 Garage Dooer Service, Sage Home, Eco Plumbers, Matrix and Lee’s Air. Falcouf refused to reveal solid revenue numbers, saying only that the lace witnessed an annual growth of 1000 % in revenue (ARR) in 2024. (However, it only started selling to customers at the end of 2023.) The company runs a SAAS business model (software as a service), and charges monthly fees for each agent or customer support.
Even a 1 % increase in reservations can be material for home services or a home display company. For example, a 300 million dollar revenue company will witness an increase of 1 % of its revenues by $ 3 million. Falcouf said that some companies that use lace see the growth of two numbers.
Today, Lace announces a total of $ 19 million in financing since the beginning of 2022, the company tells Techcrunch exclusively. The total that was previously raised includes a $ 5 million pre -seed round, led by Canvas Ventures, and recently increased seeds by $ 14 million led by Bek Ventures. Among the other supporters are Horizon VC and Launchub, and the founder of Snowflake co -co -markin Zokovsky, Fevino Hino Zakarasen, and other founders. Valcouf refused to reveal the evaluation, saying only that the financing of the seeds was a “upward” tour.
Mohamed Atchi, the administrative partner of Bek Ventures, said he was attracted to invest in lace in part because of his experienced team.
“There is an increasing trend for the application of artificial intelligence to make a real impact in the sectors it is historically subject to technology, and this team represents a severe understanding of how to do this – identifying and meeting the needs of these sectors that are often overlooked a tremendous opportunity.”
Nowadays, the lace has 20 employees. It plans to install the company’s size with its new financing.
