Footage released by the Peruvian police show a man attacking a famous artifact in Koscow, with what they described as a metal object.

According to the Ministry of City Culture, the accident caused “irreversible damage” to the 12 -corner stone, which was once part of an old palace.

A suspect was later detained and the authorities said they believed that the person behind the attack was drunk.

Stone is a famous tourist attraction and a symbol of advanced stone business of Inca civilization.
