“It would have been really cool if that were the case, if we were a team and all that stuff,” she explained. “But you know, that’s not the reality for everyone.”
“[Chad] I signed a contract. “After a few months, you won’t get anything, especially if you sign at the beginning of the offseason and then get fired during the offseason,” she added. “You don’t see any of that money because you haven’t played over and over again, you haven’t gone to training.”

Even for players with more stable careers, the money is not as great as some might think.
