Yellow baby turtles are launched in the Brazil River

About 4900 yellow river turtles, also known as Traceajás, were launched in the Igapó-Açu River, in Brazil.

The species threatened in river ponds live in Northern America, and the Federal University in the Amazon admines projects aimed at strengthening the numbers of turtles for a decade.

At the time, more than 70,000 turtles were released to live in the wild.
