Elvie is unveiling an app-controlled smart bouncer that turns into a crib at CES 2025
ElfieA hardware startup founded by a woman has unveiled a new app-controlled smart bouncer that gently transforms into a crib – while the baby is still inside. With the new Elvie Rise, announced at CES 2025 on Monday, parents and caregivers won’t have to shuttle their babies between soothing, sleeping and play products.
The startup is known for its portfolio of Vimtec Productsincluding a connected breast pump and a smart pelvic floor exerciser, is now expanding into the sleep category with its latest products.
In bouncer mode, the product uses Elvie’s SootheLoop technology to record and repeat the bounce originally created by a parent or caregiver. It can also be used as a handguard if parents don’t want an automatic bouncer. In bed mode, the smart rocker follows the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) safe sleep guidelines, allowing babies to sleep safely through the night and during naps.

Parents and caregivers can use the companion Elvie Rise Sleep & Soothe app to control the automated bounce. The app will also provide parents with valuable information about their children’s sleep patterns.
The Elvie Rise features a firm, flat mattress made of breathable fabrics, and can be charged via its magnetic connection charger for wireless use.
Elvie says the product meets US safety guidelines for both bed and guard products.
“We’ve spoken to hundreds of parents after giving birth, and after feeding, the next big stress is getting the baby to sleep,” Alex Knox, Elvie’s chief product officer, said in a press release. “Elvie Rise gives all parents and caregivers the opportunity to have some hands-free, guilt-free time for themselves: knowing that their child is safe and sound.”
Elvie Rise is available for pre-order from Elvie.com starting Monday for $799.
