The event will be shown live on PBV on Prime Video PPV. The undercard steals the show The undercard prize is what some fans call it “Mexican Loma” Jose ‘Rayo’ Valenzuela, defending against Gary Antuanne Russell in a fight interesting enough to be the main event of this card. As previously revealed, WBA lightweight champion Jose “Rayo” Valenzuela (14-2, 9 KOs) will be defeated by Gary Antoine Russell (17-1, 17 KOs) in the main support bout. Rayo is making his first defense of his newly won WBA belt which he won from Isaac Cruz on August 3 last year. WBC light welterweight champion Alberto Puello (22-0, 10 KO) faces mandatory Sandor Martin (42-3, 15 USA) in a 12-round bout. Younes Tellez (19-0, 7 KOs) faces the well-known 34-year-old veteran Julian Williams (29-4, 17 KOs) for the interim junior middleweight title. This will be the first fight for the PPV portion of the card on PBC on PPV. Spaniard Sandor Martin was a tough deal in his fight against Teofimo Lopez three years ago at Madison Square Garden in New York. He lost a 10-round split decision in a fight that many boxing fans had him win on December 10, 2022. The judges gave it to New York’s Te’o, but the boxing public saw it as a good old-fashioned decision in his hometown. Even Teofimo knew he lost, as he was heard saying: “Do I still have it?” “I’m here to show the world what it means to be great,” Jose “Rayo” Valenzuela said. “Bring me your toughest guys, and I’ll take their heads back. On March 1st, I’ll pick up a victory over Gary Antoine Russell and cement my legacy in the super lightweight division.
