Honda and Akkala EV to reach the Tesla charger in June

Honda and its luxurious mark, Acura, are scheduled to join an increasing list of car manufacturers that provide EV owners Access to Tesla’s Supercharger In North America.

Starting in June, Honda Prologue and Acura Zdx electric owners will be able to charge them at Tesla stations. These EVS are designed with CCS charging outlets – not the technology used by Tesla. This means that Honda and Akoura clients will need to purchase fast -charging adapters approved by Honda from agents. The auto company did not share details about prices.

Honda said that the owners of ProGue and ZDX will be notified of Hondalink and Acura EV applications when the transformers are available for purchase. Applications will also display the highly approved Shahan sites.

In 2023, Honda agreed to adopt the Tesla charging standard, known as NACS (North America’s Shipping Standard). At that time, Honda said it would issue a new model EV in 2025 designed with NACS standard.

Techcrunch communicated with Honda for an updated timetable. Other auto manufacturers that have access to the super charger in Tesla include Ford, General Motors, Lucid, Rivian, and more.
