Nigerian 2Baba announces its separation from Annie Edbia
Famous Nigerian musician and Aidia Edbia, known widely as 2BABA or TUFACE, announced his separation from his wife Annie Edbia.
Annie and Tofas, one of the largest celebrity couples in Nigeria, married in 2012 and had two daughters together.
In a post on Instagram, the African Queen singer said they had separated for some time and took steps towards divorce.
The post was later deleted, but the 2BABA website then released a video to verify its contents.
The singer is seen as one of the pioneers of the Nigerian music scene, who is now very popular around the world, paving the way for musicians like Wizaqid, Davido and Burna Boy.
The couple held a stars in 2013, the event that was widely followed in Nigeria although it was held in Dubai.
The star is still widely known as TUFACE although he announced in 2014 that he changed his name to 2BABA.
The news of separation was shocked by fans and fans throughout the continent, as the couple overcame previous problems and became one of the longest celebrities in Nigeria.
The former Plantashun Boyz band says he is planning to hold a press conference to provide more details, adding that he is committed to sharing his view directly with his supporters and music lovers around the world.
He said in a post on Instagram: “McCalli McCalli has separated me a while ago, and we currently applied for a divorce,” he said in a post on Instagram.
In a strange development, the post was deleted after minutes, followed by another announcement that the account was hacked.
But 2BABA then broadcast directly on his Instagram account to confirm his initial post on separation.
He said in the video: “No one had penetrated my account, I said what I said, I came in peace.”
The couple also cut ties on social media, as they canceled each other on their own platforms, and supported the statement of the leading about their separation.
In a video of his most popular song, the African Queen, Annie played his interest in love and believed that their relationship has flourished from there.
