RFK JR launches the entire US vaccine committee

US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior, who is suspicious of vaccines, removed all 17 members of a committee to issue official government recommendations on vaccination.

Kennedy announced this move in an opening article in the Wall Street Journal that conflict of interest in the ACIP consulting committee was responsible for undermining confidence in vaccinations.

Kennedy said he wanted to “ensure the American people get the most safe vaccines.”

Doctors and health experts have long criticized Kennedy’s interrogation of the safety and effectiveness of a number of vaccines, although in the Senate confirmation session he “will not take it.”

He said on Monday that he “retires” all members of the ACIP committee. Eight out of 17 puzzles were appointed in January 2025, in the last days of President Biden’s mandate.

Kennedy’s step appears to be a violation of the assurances he presented during confirmation sessions. Bill Cassidy, Republican Senator from Louisiana, a doctor, also said that he had received obligations from the Minister of Health that ACIP would be preserved “without changes.”

Public health experts share Cassidy’s concerns that Kennedy may appoint the vaccines ’admission to the board of directors.

Peter Lori, a former FDA official (FDA) said that such alternatives mean that some vaccines “will not be recommended at all” and cannot be other effective clips “can be refundable by insurance companies.”
