Doctors who treat the Colombian presidency, Miguel Urby Turay, warned that he was in a “very critical condition” after he was shot in the head 10 days ago.
Uriani underwent an emergency operation on Monday to stop bleeding in the brain, according to the hospital statement.
His wife said that the hours that followed the operation would be decisive and asked the Colombians to pray for his recovery.
