Andy Cruz stuns Omar Salcedo, Keshawn Davis and Shakur Stevenson look on
Andy Cruz (5-0, 2 KOs) says he walked Keshawn Davis and Shakur Stevenson into a “weird” meeting following his 10-round unanimous decision win over Omar Salcedo (20-2, 14 KOs) at the Cosmopolitan in Vegas. Vegas Saturday night.

Haunted look from keyshawn
Shakur was impressed with Cruz’s lightweight win, saying it looked “amazing.” Keshawn looked in shock, like he’d seen a ghost, and you could tell by looking at him that Cruz’s performance tonight had scared the crap out of him, giving him flashbacks of beating him in the 2020 Olympics.
If there was any chance of Keyshawn Cruz fighting soon, it was gone with his performance tonight because he is better than he was five years ago when he studied him at the Olympics. Cruz’s coach, Derek ‘Bozy’ Ennis, is turning him into a more offensive fighter who sits for shots more. In the tenth round, Cruz was badly hurt and forced to hold. This had never happened to him before.
The scores were 99-91, 98-92 and 98-92 for Cherry.
Praise my stool
“He would have been out if Andy hadn’t stopped. He was down to some good shots, but he paused,” said coach Derek ‘Bozy’ Ennis. Ventarguing that Andy Cruz would have knocked out Omar Salcedo if he had not paused after hitting him with good shots.
“You saw when he picked it up a few times. He looked, and then he went after it. Once you do that, you have to finish him off. He picks it up well. I gave him an A,” Bozy said of Cruz’s performance. “He won every round, and he did it against Pierced.
“He comes up every time. He fought a dude that was 20-1. This kid was no slouch. He can take a punch, and he can fight. So, Andy is there. I give him until the end of this year for a title dispute. Whoever has the court, that’s who we want.”
“Strange” meeting
“I see Andy giving anyone trouble in the department. I don’t care who it is. Anyone. At the end of 2025 [Cruz fights for a world title,” said Ennis.
“Objective completed, and I’m going to keep on to the top,” said Andy Cruz. “They were acting a little weird, but Keyshawn is my son, and Shakur said, ‘What’s up, too,’” said Cruz about him walking up to Shakur Stevenson and Keyshawn David after his win over Salido.
