Robots work on half a marathon, slowly
Human robots appear to have a long path before catching up with human contestants.
Hub Tech Tech Et Et-Town from Beijing hosted what he described as the first marathon in the world on Saturday, where 21 human robots compete alongside thousands of people.
Bloomberg reports The winning robot, Tiangong excess, was built by the X-Humanoid Research Institute and ended the race in two hours and 40 minutes. This will not be an impressive time for humans-the male runner of the racing in one hour and two minutes, and it is normal for the informal contestants to complete half of the marathon (on the alert of pride) Less than two hours.
Tiangong Ultra needed humanitarian help – specifically a person who moves forward with a signal device on his back, allowing the robot to imitate his movements. (Most other robots were remotely controlled, while operating human operators next to them).
Each other robot needed at least three hours to complete the race, and only four robots in Total were able to finish the cut time for four hours, According to Bloomberg. Some robots barely exceeded the starting line – for example, Shinong Human support runner stumblesThen criticized the fence and shattered. At one point, the Little Giant (the shortest competitor, 30 inches) stop, and stop smoke from his head.
The Beijing E-Town Robot Half Marchon Robot race has appeared by Chinese companies, as well as student groups. (The G1 robot of UNitree fell in the starting line, but the company said that the customer used the robot without his algorithms.)
For competition, robots needed human appearance and operation on the legs. They ran in a separate, fenced lane, with overlapping start times to reduce the risks they encounter to each other. Battery changes (Tiangong Ultra battery has been changed three times), and alternative robots can be replaced with a time punishment.
Chief Technology official at X-Humanoid Tang Jiang Reuters said“” I do not want to be proud, but I think he did not comply with other robots in the West on Tiangong’s sports achievements. “
