The case of the mayor of New York City Eric Adams, which the Federal Judge has permanently rejected
A federal judge has permanently rejected the criminal case against the mayor of New York City Eric Adam
This step led to the resignation of senior prosecutors in Manhattan, who accused Adams of concluding a deal with the Trump administration to reject his case in exchange for enforcing immigration.
Manhattan’s judge rejected the case “with bias”, which means that the Ministry of Justice could not revive the charges against Adams based on the same evidence.
Adams was charged with conspiracy, fraud, and seeking the contributions of the illegal campaign and bribery. He denied any violations.
In an indictment last September, it was claimed that Adams had accepted the gifts that total more than $ 100,000 (75,000 pounds) of citizens of citizens in exchange for preferences.
On Wednesday’s ruling, the American boycott judge, Del, said that the Ministry of Justice did not object to a proposal from Adams in an effort to obtain the permanent separation of the case.
The judge said that he rejects the case permanently because allowing federal public prosecutors to revive the case in the future “will create a perception that cannot be avoided that the mayor’s freedom depends on his ability to implement the priorities of migration enforcement in administration, and that it may be more owned by the demands of the federal government more than his desires in its own components.”
